Mary (May) Cameron Lane

May was born in Montreal on Drolet Street. They later moved to NDG, Claremont Apartments. May, her mother and sister Emily left Montreal for Toronto a couple of times. Places where they lived to come.

Doug was born in Toronto. I have no information as to where they lived.

After they got married, May and Doug first lived in Toronto - where? Toronto o 38 Homewood Ave., Toronto - till 1944 Collingwood - 436 Hurontario St. - for about 6 months in 1944. Click for images o Doug was employed by the British Admiralty at the Collingwood Shipyards. As there was no gas or electric stove, all wartime houses in the area were heated by coal and wood. Toronto - Broadview above the hardware store Calgary o Mr. Grey’s chicken farm: 712-24th Ave. N.W. around 7th St. Marcheta had a room on the second floor o Fraser’s basement suite: 702-24th Ave. N.W., stayed until Marcheta was in grade 5 o Upstairs duplex on 6th St. around 22 Ave. N.E. Marcheta went to Mount View School, friends with Donna Gail Hanson o Upstairs large duplex on 20th Ave. N.W. around 12th St. - torn down around 2025 o Capital Hill - basement of Diegle’s place, across from the Fraser’s place. They had moved there. o Upper duplex, 2604-37th St. S.W. on the corner of 25th Ave. Moved downstairs as Ms. Elton didn’t like the noise from me running around above her head o 2603-36th St. S.W. on the corner of 25th Ave, but left side duplex Owned by Carl Leong, of the Leong family that had the grocery store on 26th Ave. at 33rd St. o 3604-28th Ave.. S.W. - left duplex o Apartment at 2411-29th St. S.W., corner of 23rd Ave., I think. I don’t recall the apartment number o 2416-25A St. S.W. - was Jack’s house that May moved into when they married. After Jack died, John moved in, in 1973-74, his last year at the UofC
